INFORMATION AND HISTORY OF BRYANSTON

Bryanston is an upper class residential suburb of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. It was in established 1969 as a suburb of Sandton, but after municpal boundaries were revised following the end of Apartheid , it was merged with Johannesburg to form part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Bryanston abounds in accommodation of all sorts - from budget accommodation to more exclusive B & B accommodation. There are many self-catering chalets, hotels, guest houses and lodges to be found in Rosebank.
It has a fairly new corporate area called The Campus running along the two main roads, William Nicol and Main Road. Many large corporations are based in Bryanston.
Bryanston also has a thriving business community.
Bryanston is named after a village in the United Kingdom.
